Electronic assembly verfasst von Jens Friebe, Torsten Söderberg Abstract The utility model relates to electronic assembly comprising a circuit board 1 and a heat dissipating member 11 having at least one second fixation element 12 . The circuit board is provided with at least one first fixation element and at least one heating component 2 which is arranged on a first side 1a of the circuit board 1 . The at least one first fixation ele...

Bubble-enhanced basanite–tephrite mixing in the early stages of the Cumbre Vieja 2021 eruption, La Palma, Canary Islands – QUEST-LFS – Leibniz Universität Hannover

Semi quantitative diffusion modelling indicates that the filamentary structures are short lived, dissipating in timescales of tens of seconds. In combination with thermobarometric constraints, we suggest a mixing onset by sub Moho remobilization of a tephritic reservoir by basanite input, followed by turbulent ascent of a mingled magma.

Microplastic retention in marine vegetation canopies under breaking irregular waves – QUEST-LFS – Leibniz Universität Hannover

It is acknowledged that coastal vegetation can serve as a sink for MP due to its energy dissipating features, which can mimic a novel ecosystem service. While the transport behavior of MP in vegetation has previously been investigated to some extent for stationary flow conditions, fundamental investigations for unsteady surf zone flow conditions under irregular waves are still lacking.

The experimental results declare that the rectangular model performs better in dissipating wave energy in comparison with the hemi-cylindrical model for the case of rigid breakwaters. Whereas, the hemi-cylindrical model performs better in reducing wave energy compared to rectangular shapes for the case of flexible breakwaters.

The reduction of wave load is a consequence of the (due to the summer dike) reduced wave height and period of the approaching wave and of the reduced duration of wave attack. In case of extreme storm surges the total wave energy dissipating at the main dike lying behind a diked foreland is reduced to approximately 75 % compared to the wave energy behind a foreland without summer dike.

Description of wave parameters on foreshore for calculating wave run-ups The sea state on the wadden sea areas in front of the coastline at the German Bight is only slightly influenced by the wave energy coming in from the deeper parts of the North Sea due to strong damping effect of the restricted water depth at the seaward border of the wadden sea. To use this data, a new method for evaluation (Grüne & Wang, 2000) of wave climate parameters ...

COASTAL ENGINEERING 2008 2903 Most of this wave energy is developed by local wind field on the wadden sea area, only some wave energy comes from deeper areas along the estuaries and from tide gullies, dissipating more and more towards the coastline. Results from previous field investigations on wave climate in nearshore areas have demonstrated, that the water depth is the most accurate indicator for actual wave heights in wadden seas ...

Thus, the forming step in the process chain has to be designed in a way that the joining zone integrity can be maintained and that its properties can be improved through controlled thermal processing prior to forming as well as thermomechanical processing during forming. Based on the preliminary experiments and forming simulations, it is supposed that the best joining zone properties are achieved when the steel and aluminum are heated to subst...

The reduction of wave run-up and overtopping over a stepped revetment in comparison to a smooth surface was derived to 0.65 < γf < 0.85 for ξ < 3.3 and 0.35 < γf < 0.7 for ξ < 3.3, with γf depicting the reduction factor. The range of reduction factors derived in the tests spreads significant for wave run-up with 0.33 < γf < 0.85 and for wave overtopping with 0.06 < γf < 0.99. According to Wassing (1957) the wave run-up can be calculated by 𝑅𝑢 ...

The resulting friction coefficient is calculated as the fraction of the global horizontal and vertical forces, and is connected directly to the dissipating properties of the viscoelastic material. However the used approach is identical, starting with the spring stresses and the total stress written in terms of the strain rates and the material parameters σ∞ = E∞² (2.87) σ1 = E1² e 1 = τ1E1²̇ i 1 (2.88) σ2 = E2² e 2 = τ2E2²̇ i 2 (2.89)...
